Alto-Shaam promoted Lucy McQuillan to the newly created role of chief commercial officer for the Wisconsin-based foodservice equipment manufacturer. She previously served as Alto-Shaam’s executive vice president of global sales.

Multiconcept operator FAT Brands will add Fazoli’s to its growing portfolio of companies. In a deal valued at $130 million that is expected to close in mid-December, FAT Brands will acquire Fazoli’s from Sentinel Capital Partners, which purchased the Italian quick-service restaurant chain in July 2015.

Parts Town, the Illinois-based distributor of OEM foodservice equipment parts, received what the company described as a “significant investment” from Leonard Green & Partners, a Los Angeles-based growth investment firm. Existing investor Berkshire Partners will retain its majority stake in the company, reinvesting alongside the Parts Town management team and Leonard Green.

GJ Hart has retired from his post as CEO for Torchy’s Tacos. Mike Rypka, the founder of Torchy’s, has assumed the CEO role on an interim basis.

Stuart Sharp has joined Clipper Corporation as senior vice president of the manufacturer’s foodservice division.

PRIDE Centric Resources, a dealer-owned cooperative in the foodservice equipment and supplies industry, recognized its members and factory partners with a series of awards.

As part of its growth plan, NRD Capital, which owns fast-casual restaurant chain Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, has formed Experiential Brands. The goal of this new entity is to “acquire truly experiential brands in the food and beverage space.”

Hoshizaki Corporation appointed Chris Karssiens to the new role of president of the Americas region. He will serve in this role concurrently with his current position as president of Hoshizaki America. Other equipment lines that are part of Hoshizaki’s Americas region include Lancer Worldwide, Jackson WWS and ACOS Marcom.

Commercial cooking equipment manufacturer Vulcan plans to open a facility dedicated to training, research, support and other activities. The first phase of the facility is set to open in 2022.
