PT Holdings, the parent company of foodservice equipment parts distributor Parts Town, has acquired another service company: K&D Factory Service. K&D also owns Pine Tree Food Equipment, which it purchased in 2019. Both K&D and Pine Tree will be part of PT Holdings Service division.

Dan Dibeler will continue to lead K&D Factory Service and Pine Tree Food Equipment, which will keep going to market under those trade names. In addition, K&D and Pine Tree Food Equipment will run as separate and distinct companies within PT Holdings, per a release announcing this transaction.

This deal is the latest in a series of acquisitions of service companies made by PT Holdings. Earlier this year, for example, PT Holdings acquired Minnesota-based General Parts, which operates 30 branch locations.

Overall, it’s been an active year when it comes to acquisition activity among service agents. For example, Smart Care Equipment Solutions has purchased six companies thus far in 2021. And Tech-24 has remained active, too, most recently expanding via acquisition into Southern Illinois.
