PT Holdings, the parent company of foodservice equipment parts distributor Parts Town, has acquired General Parts, a Bloomington, Minn.-based service agent, from Encore One. Financial aspects of the deal were not disclosed.

General Parts will continue to operate as a separate and distinct company under Parts Town’s ownership, per a release announcing the deal. Gary Schermann and Linnea Chrest will continue to lead the General Parts team, per the release. General Parts operates 30 branch locations.

Parts Town distributes original equipment manufacturer parts through its Parts Town, Parts Town Canada, and First Choice (U.K.) brands.

PT Holding’s agreement to buy General Parts comes a few short weeks after Smart Care Equipment Solutions acquired three service agents: TBS Southeast, Jaguar Coffee Company and Facility Maintenance Specialist.
