Ted’s Montana Grill introduced Kirk Biondi as corporate chef for the American-themed restaurant chain. Prior to joining Ted’s Montana Grill, he served as corporate chef at several restaurant concepts, including Tin Drum and Maddio’s Pizza.

Clark Service Group opened a branch in State College. This marks the Pennsylvania-based service agent’s sixth location and allows Clark Service Group to expand its reach into the state’s northern and western regions.

Canadian multiconcept operator MTY Food Group Inc. continued its spate of acquisitions by agreeing to purchase the assets of Yuzu Sushi, a chain of sushi restaurants. The deal is expected to close within 45 days of the June 6 announcement.

In a move that adds to its growing design-build capabilities, Edward Don & Company has purchased Shervan Colonel Equipment Corp., a Las Vegas-based company that designs commercial kitchens. Shervan Colonel Equipment will operate as a division of Edward Don & Company and remain under the leadership of Drew Shervan.

The Middleby Corporation has acquired Ss Brewtech, a maker of professional craft brewing and beverage equipment. Founded in 2013, Ss Brewtech has $20 million in annual revenues, per a release announcing this transaction.

Middleby Corp. subsidiary Globe Food Equipment Company tapped foodservice equipment industry veteran Dan Farmer to serve as vice president of sales and marketing. Farmer will assume his new role effective June 6, 2019.
