Compostable Takeout Containers


Eco-Products’ WorldView line of packaging includes seven compostable items. Made from plant-based sugarcane fiber and certified as compostable, these two-piece takeout containers are suitable for restaurants, supermarkets, convenience stores and snack bars. The WorldView line includes different-sized bowls and containers in round, oval, square and rectangle shapes, including some with compartments. The line is microwavable and freezable, per the maker.

Gas Option for Vector Multi-Cook Ovens


A gas-powered option is now available for the Vector F Series Multi-Cook Ovens, featuring three or four independent oven chambers in one unit. Operators can control the temperature, fan speed and cook time in each individual chamber and simultaneously cook a variety of menu items. Operators can manage the ovens remotely through the manufacturer’s cloud-based remote oven management system, ChefLinc.

The Carpigiani by Victory Ice Cream Hardening Freezer Model ICH-1D is capable of operating at -25 degrees F to -15 degrees F. The unit features a stay-open door to make product loading easier, a magnetic door switch that activates the interior LED light, one-piece snap-in magnetic gaskets and low-profile vertical door handles.

Smart Controller for Air Curtains

Berner International

Berner AIR is a smart controller and app platform that connects end users to their commercial doorway air curtains via the Internet for programming, operating and monitoring. Every 20 minutes, the controller reports local weather conditions, doorway temperature via an onboard sensor and air curtain model data to factory servers. Factory-engineered software then uses proprietary algorithms to determine the appropriate volume, velocity and uniformity (VVU) balance for the given moment and adjusts the fan speed based on the current weather.


The B-Series line of slicers includes four manual gravity-feed slicers and one automatic model. The slicers come with 9-, 10-, 12- and 14-inch knives for the manual units and a 12-inch knife for the automatic unit. Each knife is made of chrome-plated carbon steel, and each unit features an anodized aluminum finish. Operators can submerge the slicers’ removable carriages in water to further simplify cleaning.

Apex Order Pickup Solutions and Welbilt

Developed in partnership by Apex and Welbilt’s Merco line, OrderHQ is a smart locker series that integrates with existing point of sale and other back-of-the-house management systems. Order-ready notifications minimize wait time and include a unique pickup code to authenticate at the locker. The compartments also feature indicator lights to help guide customers to their pickup order. The system is scalable, with operators able to add lockers as necessary.


New features to ChefLinc, the maker’s cloud-based remote oven management system, include enhanced error messages that allow operators to see exactly what has gone wrong and reference simple step-by-step instructions to resolve the issue, custom alerts sent to email addresses, and advanced reporting options.

Blast Chiller

Part of the HURRiCHiLL line, the AP20-XL is a 200-pound-capacity self-contained modular roll-in blast chiller/shock freezer. The blast chiller comes precharged and has refrigeration and electrical quick connects for easy assembly or service. It can accept any common combi cart or rack through its large door and interior. Operators control the unit via a 7-inch touch screen.

Advance Tabco

The KMS-11B line of worktables comes with a built-in 16-inch-by-20-inch-by-12-inch prep sink. All tables measure 30 inches wide with 48-inch, 60-inch or 72-inch lengths. Operators can choose for the sink to be on the left or right side of the table. Other features include a 304 stainless-steel top, legs and bullet feet; a 5-inch backsplash; an adjustable undershelf; a 4-inch on-center deck-mounted faucet; and a basket drain.
