Parts Town’s parent company, PT Holdings, has made another acquisition, this time purchasing Duffy’s AIS.
This represents PT Holdings third acquisition of note in the last five months. In November PT Holdings acquired K&D Factory Service Equipment, which owned Pine Tree Food Equipment, too. In July, PT Holdings acquired General Parts.
Patrick Duffy, president, and Wayne Stoutner, CEO, will continue to lead Duffy’s AIS, which will now be part of PT Holdings Service division. Duffy’s AIS was formed back in March of 2018 when three commercial foodservice equipment service agents – Duffy’s Equipment Service, Appliance Installation & Service and Express Commercial Services – merged into one business.
Overall, 2021 has been a busy year for Parts Town. This latest deal comes roughly one month after Parts Town received an investment from Leonard Green & Partners, a Los Angeles-based growth investment firm. In September the Addison, Ill.-based OEM parts distributor launched Parts Town Marketplace, an e-commerce platform developed by the company’s innovation arm known as Red Lightning Group. The marketplace makes available a curated list of light equipment, smallwares, tabletop items, consumables and other products available for purchase.
