Why it Won
For a foodservice operation that serves an aging population, the china and flatware selections were excellent choices. In addition to being easy for diners to use, the tabletop presents the food well and gives a very upscale appearance. By really paying attention to the presentation, residents will feel like they are going out to dinner every night. The team went out of its way to select a few pieces that are a little more unusual, notably the oval-shaped side plates. The team also made a bold choice with the coffee cup’s unique handle and it really works. Using a nontraditional shape really elevates the entire setting.
