In a deal that expands its presence in the Midwest and in the U.S. coffee market, Smart Care has acquired Espresso Partners, a Minneapolis-based service company.
As a result of the deal, Espresso Partners will join Smart Care’s Equipment Solutions Specialty segment, which specializes in high‐speed ovens, coffee and espresso equipment and water filtration services. Espresso Partners has direct coverage in 11 states as well as Washington, D.C., per a map on the company's website.
“Expanding geographic reach of our core competencies and growing and deepening customer relationships via strategic acquisitions is a key pillar of the Smart Care value creation plan,” says Konrad Salaber, managing director at Wind Point, which acquired Smart Care earlier this year. “Espresso Partners is a highly valuable addition to the combined service offering, and their geographic footprint fills a void in the specialty coffee and beverage services footprint by adding new capabilities in the Midwest. We look forward to continuing to deliver world‐class service levels for our customers, investing in our best‐in‐class technician base and supporting the next phase of growth for the combined organization.”
This is Smart Care’s second acquisition in roughly one month’s time. At the end of June, Smart Care bought Dutton Food Equipment Repair, a Virginia-based service agent.
