Smart Care Equipment Solutions was acquired by Zone Climate Services, a provider of commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC services to grocery stores, convenience stores and foodservice warehouse customers.
“We will combine under the Smart Care banner with Zone Climate Services being rebranded Smart Care Climate Solutions, which provides a tremendous opportunity to better serve more customers as a united group,” says Lees-Buckley, who will serve as the company’s CEO.
Bill Emory, current Smart Care CEO has been named chairman of Smart Care Equipment Solutions. Gyner Ozgul will serve as president and chief operating officer of Smart Care Equipment Solutions.
Prior to the deal Zone served customers in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Indiana. Now the combined company will have operations in all 50 states and more than 1,100 technicians, per a release announcing the deal. The company will continue to have corporate offices in St. Paul, Minn., and Alsip, Ill.
Smart Care had been very active of late acquiring service companies. In January 2022, for example, Smart Care acquired Superior Service of Anaheim. This acquisition came on the heels of Smart Care purchasing six companies in 2021.
