February Rep Roundup

Two rep forms combine to form Curate, while manufacturers Cal-Mil, Equipex, Marra Forni and Unified Brands all make changes to their rep networks.

Rep groups Apex Commercial Kitchen Co. and TRC Marketing have combined forces to form Curate. This new rep firm now covers 16 states, operating from 6 offices and 4 showrooms, including 3 test kitchens. The new company’s line card will include equipment, tabletop and supply items.

Katie Stowe, previously of TRC, will serve as Curate’s executive vice president. Joe Klosterman and Mike Klosterman, both previously of Apex, will serve as vice president of sales and director of operations, respectively.

To kick off the merged company, Curate developed a video that provides an overview of the company’s vision and more.

Cal-Mil added two companies to its network of independent manufacturers reps in the Southeastern U.S. CSA Marketing now represents Cal-Mil in Tennessee, Arkansas and Alabama as well as the Florida Panhandle and in Mississippi North of interstate 20. Echo Marketing now represents Cal-Mil in Louisiana and in Mississippi South of interstate 20.

Equipex will add BSE Mid-Atlantic to its network of independent manufacturers' reps, effective February 1, 2022. BSE will represent Equipex in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C., also known as MAFSI region five.

Marra Forni made several updates to its rep network. The Gabriel Group, based in Michigan, will represent Marra Forni in that state as well as in Indiana. In November 2021, The Gabriel Group Merged with a group from Acosta Cornerstone. Master Marketing Associates, based in Atlanta, will represent Marra Forni in several Southeastern Markets including Alabama, Georgia, Eastern Tennessee, and the Carolinas. H.D. Sheldon, based in New York, will serve as an international representative focusing on Marra Forni’s business development in the Middle East, Europe, Mexico, Latin, and South America.

Multiline foodservice equipment manufacturer Unified Brands tapped Swanson Girard & Associates to serve as its representatives in North Carolina and South Carolina (MAFSI Region 11). In a deal that was announced in October 2021, Unified Brands became part of Electrolux Professional in December. Unified Brands also tapped BSE Mid-Atlantic to serve as its reps in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. (MAFSI Region 5).
