Rep Roundup for January 20, 2021

A lot is happening in the rep world this month, including 4 Star Reps adding a principal, Eagle Frizzel and Maxwell-McKenney adding to their teams, as well as handful of rep groups updating their line cards.

Erica Monaghan has become a principal at 4 Star Reps, a Pennsylvania-based independent manufacturers’ rep firm. A company veteran, Monaghan’s career at 4 Star Reps has progressed from part-time consultant to information/marketing director to vice president and now she joins Karen VanPelt-Higgins as a principal in the firm. “While the title may be new, her support, guidance and insights have been woven into the fabric of 4 Star and I can no longer envision 4 Star’s future without her,” says VanPelt-Higgins.

Kansas-based rep firm Searles Associates changed its name to Cre8tive Hospitality Solutions and moved into a new showroom. The all-inclusive showroom can display the company’s tabletop, furniture and equipment lines in one space. The location provides a showroom experience that operators and dealer sales reps can use when researching products.

California-based rep group Eagle Frizzel & Associates hired foodservice industry veteran Steve Herbert. His background includes working for Pacific Gas and Electric, promoting the use of Energy Star-rated equipment, and as a foodservice operator. In addition, Eagle Frizzel added a trio of factories to its line card: Globe Food Equipment Co., Krowne and Varimixer. Both Globe and Varimixer are Middleby Companies. And thanks to a partnership that kicked in Jan. 1, 2021, Globe now handles sales, marketing and distribution of Varimixer products in the U.S.
