Well, it is good to know that the appeal of cat videos and quarantine parodies has its limits as many industry professionals refocus at least some of their attention to the post-pandemic foodservice landscape.
More than 2,000 attendees registered for FE&S’ Ghost Kitchens webcast. The recorded webcast is available here and I urge you to check it out. Editorial Director Joe Carbonara tracked this trend long before COVID-19 ramped up and turned many of the nation’s restaurants into ghost kitchens as these operators sought to adhere to local stay-at-home mandates aimed at slowing the spread of the virus. This is a great discussion as we all search for clues about what to expect once restaurants can finally fully reopen.
Our next webcast, Consultants’ Roundtable, will take place June 23 and will feature a trio of foodservice consultants. Consultants touch a variety of operations across different markets, giving them a unique perspective as the industry moves from shutdown to recovery. Today’s consultants remain active in supporting operators’ new projects as well as helping prepare existing facilities for what’s to come.
Speaking of consultants, Zoomba Group is proud to have been selected to work collaboratively with the Foodservice Consultants Society International — The Americas on the newest version of its Project Showcase publication. The results will be unveiled in the first quarter of 2021, and we can’t wait to dig into this exciting project.
Along with increased webcast attendance, website traffic has surged at FESmag.com as readers seek up-to-the-minute information regarding the foodservice industry that pertains to the coronavirus and more. Readers access this content by participating in our webcasts, subscribing to and reading our e-newsletters and following FE&S on its various social media channels. The timing is opportune as we prepare to launch our completely redesigned FESmag.com site, which has been in the works for more than six months.
In addition to being mobile friendly, the site has been reimagined, retooled and refined for ease of use and greater efficiency. Given our continuing focus on new content creation, we have tens of thousands of pages to access and display. The new FESmag.com will allow you to find what you are looking for more quickly and easily than ever before.
