Remembering Larry Cantamessa

Larry Cantamessa, president of New York-based rep firm PBAC and Associates has passed away after a battle with cancer. He was 63 years old.

larry cantamesaCantamessa joined PBAC 27 years ago as a sales trainee and rose through the ranks before eventually becoming president and company co-owner in 2017.

Cantamessa was very active in many areas of the foodservice industry. He served on manufacturer rep councils for several factories. Cantamessa also served 10 years on the board of directors for the Manufacturers’ Agents Association for the Foodservice Industry. In 2016 Cantamessa was the recipient of the MAFSI Pacesetter Award. In addition, he was the current vice president of the Partridge Scholarship Foundation, an organization of New York foodservice executives dedicated to providing scholarship assistance to culinary schools.

Cantamessa is survived by his wife Sarah, daughters Olivia and Hailey, stepchildren Samantha and Nathan as well as his father, stepmother, sisters, and many friends.

According to Cantamessa’s wishes, his funeral will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Memorial Sloan Cancer Center or the Partridge-Invitation Scholarship Foundation.
