Gary Dykstra, a longtime foodservice equipment executive, passed away on April 21, 2023. He was 68 years old.
Dykstra joined Manitowoc Foodservice in 1986 and after a series of mergers and acquisitions in the ensuing years the company would eventually change its name to Welbilt. Throughout his career, Dykstra held various leadership positions across multiple product portfolios including Garland, Cleveland, and Frymaster. His last position with the company was vice president sales buying groups.
In December 2016 Dykstra retired from Welbilt and in January 2017 he started his own consulting business, per his LinkedIn profile.
Dykstra’s family includes Kathryn, his wife of 45 years and his children Josh (Melissa), Richelle, Alaina and Nikita. He also had seven grandchildren.
