After a 50-year career at Hotel & Restaurant Supply, Ollie Wilkes will retire from the Mississippi-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealer, effective March 4, 2022. Wilkes most recently served as Hotel & Restaurant Supply’s vice president of national accounts.
Wilkes began his career at Hotel & Restaurant Supply in 1964 as the dealer’s seventh employee. After leaving the company for a different industry in 1972, Wilkes returned to H&R in 1981 and built the department that today services national accounts and other large foodservice operators.
“Ollie’s successes have carried over into other parts of our organization, assisting in both our growth as a company, as well as our reputation in the industry and with other customers,” says Mason Greene, president of H&R. “His remarkable career will leave a lasting legacy on his customers, our organization, and the industry as a whole.”
In 2013 FE&S presented Wilkes with the magazine’s inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, Wilkes was FE&S DSR of the Month in October 2012.
