First Watch, a 420-unit breakfast, lunch and brunch chain, opened a new headquarters in University Park, Fla.
The new 2-story, 39,000-square-foot office will serve as home base for approximately 100 employees who support First Watch’s national operations in such functional areas as accounting, finance, marketing, development and IT. Other features of First Watch’s new HQ include a fitness center, a high-tech training room and recreational area, a culinary suite for menu development, a private room for mothers who are lactating, a wellness room that serves as a quiet space with low lighting and comfortable chairs for mental health breaks, rooms for meetings and breakout sessions, and an employee cafe.
First Watch has led its operation out of Manatee and Sarasota Counties since the organization moved to Florida in 1986, when it opened its first Sunshine State restaurant in South Sarasota on South Tamiami Trail.
