FOCUS Brands taps Hotel Veteran for International Post

Multiconcept operator FOCUS Brands added Sean Wooden to its international business team. In his new role as vice president, managing director of FOCUS Brands International, Wooden will oversee the company’s Europe, the Middle East and Africa regions.

Wooden has an extensive background with Hilton Hotels, beginning as a chef at the chain’s Portsmouth, U.K., location 30 years ago. He subsequently held a number of senior management roles including director of business development at a large convention property and several hotel general manager roles before becoming senior director of brand performance support for the Hilton Hotels & Resorts and DoubleTree by Hilton brand portfolios across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Wooden also served as vice president, brand management for Hilton in the Asia Pacific region.

The hiring of Wooden comes shortly after Focus Brands reorganized its business into two business units led by a pair of company veterans. Kristen Hartman leads the Specialty Brands division, which includes Auntie Anne'sCarvelCinnabon and Jamba. Erik Hess leads the Restaurant Brands division, which includes McAlister's DeliMoe's Southwest Grill and Schlotzsky's.
