Multiconcept operator Focus Brands reorganized its business into two categories and appointed a pair of company veterans to lead these business units.
Kristen Hartman was promoted to president of the Specialty Brands division, which includes Auntie Anne's, Carvel, Cinnabon and Jamba. Erik Hess was promoted to president of the Restaurant Brands division, which includes McAlister's Deli, Moe's Southwest Grill and Schlotzsky's.
Hartman previously served as president of Cinnabon and Carvel. She joined Focus Brands in 2012. The former president of Moe's, Hess came to Focus Brands in 2019. His background includes executive roles at McDonald's globally, domestically and internationally. Earlier this year, Focus Brands promoted Beto Guajardo from president of Schlotzsky's to president of the International division.
Focus Brands also promoted Anissa Mandell to senior vice president, supply chain. Mandell steps into this role after serving as vice president of Focus Brands supply chain. Mandell will oversee the strategic planning framework for supply chain, distribution, logistics and quality assurance.
Finally, Focus Brands hired Alex Williams to serve as chief brand officer for Moe’s Southwest Grill and Seth Freeman to serve as vice president of marketing for Schlotzsky's.
