A special thanks goes out to everyone who made FE&S’ inaugural Tour the Trends event a big success.
The Chicago Cubs organization opened its arms and iconic Wrigley Field to give the participating foodservice designers a unique behind-the-scenes glimpse of the many renovations the century-old ballpark has undergone during the past few years. Now boasting expanded consourses, increased concessions offerings, four new all-inclusive clubs and improved suites and suit level, Wrigley Field now offers modern amenities all while maintaining the historic charm of an old neighborhood ballpark. Most impressively, the Cubs accomplished all this over five off-seasons under the tight completion deadline of opening day.
The day didn’t end there as we toured Wrigleyville hotspots close to the park: Hotel Zachary, Mordecai + Hush Money, Big Star and Maddon’s Post. The immediate feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive and we plan to do more of these high-touch events for our readers in the future.
Look for our coverage of the event in the November issue of FE&S and online.
If you have ideas or suggestions for future locations, we would love to hear them. Our aim is to provide you with access to the high-profile projects that you want to learn more about.
Of course, none of this would be possible without our sponsors, in this case, Continental Refrigerator and Rational. Thank you both.
All the best,
