Readers tell us they still find the directory issue a useful and welcome tool.
Directories are funny things — on one hand, are they really necessary anymore when literally everything is searchable in the palm of your hand? I will readily admit that I was one of the people in this camp. I thought that printed directories would go the way of phone books once people became comfortable with looking online for information. It turns out that, at least to this point, I was wrong!
Readers tell us they still find the directory issue a useful and welcome tool. It has evolved in conjunction with a digital format to provide a more comprehensive and accurate resource. The printed version, issued annually and in your hands now, is really a snapshot of the repository of data that lives online. Via the digital version, manufacturers and suppliers go online and update their information at any time during the year. And, they don’t have to be an FE&S advertiser to do so: They just need to substantiate who they are and what they make or sell. The result is the listing that you see here — 1,800 manufacturers and/or suppliers in 700 different categories.
As always, we love to hear from you about how we can continue to improve this offering. We are committed to continually evolving and the best way for us to learn is to listen … to you!
Like many of you, all of us here at Zoomba Group are gearing up for what promises to be a fantastic NAFEM Show in Orlando in February 2017. If you are on the fence, there is still plenty of time to book your trip. Check out our FE&S Planning Guide, our pre-NAFEM Show special issue, that accompanies this directory. I think that you will agree this is shaping up to be the E&S show to attend in 2017.
