Wow! We owe a huge thank you to the record number of FE&S subscribers who participated in our 2012 Best in Class study. Completing a comprehensive study of this this type is no small task. So please know that we truly appreciate all of you who took the time and made the effort to ensure your voices are heard.
We are continually impressed by how closely foodservice equipment and supplies manufacturers track the results of this annual study and how proudly the winners display their Best in Class logos at trade events, in their catalogues and in various other promotional materials. They see your feedback as validation of their efforts. We take the responsibility of providing such a platform very seriously. And, as a result, we always strive to enhance and improve the Best in Class study.
Of course, it's not just the winners who benefit from your participation. For the individual members of the supply chain, the Best in Class study represents an opportunity to provide feedback to manufacturers about what's working and what isn't from the perspective of the people who buy, sell and recommend their products. For manufacturers, it's an opportunity to look at unvarnished third-party research that rates their brands' performance across seven key buying attribute scores. Anyone interested in learning more about the in-depth study results is welcome to contact me.
We know that the Best in Class study matters because the results are derived via input from the best informed readers in the industry: the foodservice operators, consultants and equipment and supplies dealers who are the regular and engaged consumers of FE&S. If you would like to participate in next year's study, please be sure to share your email address with us. The easiest way to do so is to include your email address in your subscription renewal. You can accomplish this by clicking here.
Speaking of electronic devices, a year ago I introduced you to our app for iPad and Android devices. We were proud to be one of the very first hospitality magazines to offer access to our magazine via these leading-edge devices. Now, we have upgraded and reintroduced an even better version of the FE&S app. It's still free, it downloads much faster, and it is available through iTunes.
