Reps project sales growth of 3.7 percent for the second quarter of 2012
Overall sales of foodservice equipment and supplies increased by 4 percent for the first quarter of 2012 compared to the same time frame last year, according to the Manufacturers Agents' Society for the Foodservice Industry's Business Barometer. While this was less than the 5.2 percent increase projected by the reps, this still represents the sixth quarter of expansion.
Looking ahead to the second quarter of 2012, MAFSI reps project a 3.7 percent increase in sales compared to the same period in 2011. The reps outlook remains bright, with 59 percent quoting more and 50 percent reporting greater consultant activity.

- Midwest: 3.8 percent

- Canada: 3.4 percent
