Southern Stainless Equipment has acquired full ownership of W.A. Brown and Son, a 100-year-old Salisbury, N.C.-based manufacturer of walk-in coolers and freezers. W.A. Brown will continue to operate under the same brand name from its current location with the same personnel, according a statement made by said Bob Rouse, chief executive officer of Clark Manufacturing, parent company of Southern Stainless Equipment.

W..A. Brown ceased operations in November 2009 and thanks to a partnership developed with Southern Industries, it resumed business activities in late January 2010.
