Neil Tell, co-founder of The Sam Tell Companies, died on December 15, 2025. He was 93 years old.
Neil TellNeil Tell co-founded Sam Tell and Son in 1956 with his father, Sam Tell. The New York-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealership began as a two-person operation in a single Bleecker Street location. Neil’s son, Marc, along with longtime partner Dan Saltzman, joined the company in the 1980s. Marc Tell continues to serve as the dealer’s CEO.
A memorial service for Neil Tell took place on December 17, 2025.
