AyrKing, a Louisville-based commercial kitchen equipment manufacturer, hired Sophie Wegenast to serve as a mechanical engineer.

Wegenast will be responsible for producing drawings, prototype testing and other tasks to support AyrKing’s engineering capabilities. In this role, she will work on food preparation projects.

“Sophie’s unique combination of hands-on manufacturing and design experience adds valuable capability to our team,” said Jim Bell, president of AyrKing. “As we continue to expand, her ability to move from concept to prototype will help us solve challenges our customers face.”
