Multiconcept operator GoTo Foods appointed Omer Gajial to serve as chief executive officer. He succeeds Jim Holthouser, who is retiring after having served as CEO for nearly six years, per a company release.

Gajial most recently served as chief merchandising and digital officer with Albertsons, a grocery chain with more than 2,000 locations. During his time with Albertson's, Gajial led initiatives in merchandising, digital strategy, marketing, loyalty and retail media, per a GoTo Foods release. His background also includes leadership roles at Amazon and PepsiCo.

As of September, GoTo Foods had more than 7,100 locations spread across 50 states and 70 countries. Some of its brands include Auntie Anne’s, Cinnabon, Jamba, Moe’s Southwest Grill, McAlister’s Deli and Schlotzsky’s.
