Edward Don & Company promoted Shannon Tallon to vice president of merchandising for the Woodridge, Ill.-based company.
A 20-year veteran of the company, Tallon joined Edward Don & Co. as a merchandiser and went on to hold positions of increasing responsibility, including associate product manager, product manager, category manager, corporate category manager and director.
Among the many responsibilities of Tallon’s new role is managing the foodservice equipment and supplies category for Sysco, which owns Edward Don & Co., per a release announcing her promotion. This includes supporting such initiatives as Sysco-to-Go and Sysco SHOP, the broadline distributor's digital ordering platforms. Sysco acquired Edward Don & Co. in 2023.
