Remembering Don Follett

Don FollettDon FollettFollett’s professional career began in 1952, working for Reliance Electric in Ohio. After the death of his father Roy in 1954, Follett took a leave from Reliance and went to Long Island to close his father’s business, the Roy Follett Corp. The company eventually became known as Follett Corp. and moved to Pennsylvania’s Leigh High Valley in 1958. Follett worked at the company until his retirement in 1994.

Follett was very involved in the foodservice industry and served as president of the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers in 1982, per the association’s website.

Follett was preceded in death by Mabel, his wife of 69 years. He is survived by his three children – Jim Follett (wife Nancy), Steve Follett (wife Jeanne) and Sue Panella (husband Mark) along with seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
