Tom Hotard will become chief engineering officer for both Ali Group and Welbilt on a global basis, effective September 1, 2025.
In this position, Hotard will assume responsibility for advising Ali Group and Welbilt companies on operations and engineering issues and initiatives, while also interfacing with brands globally to provide manufacturing process and engineering support.
Hotard joined the Ali Group in 2010 as vice president of operations and development at Beverage-Air. Since then, he has held various positions, including executive vice president of Beverage-Air, president of H.C. Duke & Son, LLC/Electro Freeze and executive vice president, Ali Group and Welbilt.
Ali Group operators more than 110 foodservice equipment-related brands globally.
News of Hotard’s promotion comes days after Welbilt announced a series of leadership updates, including the promotion of Rob August to chief commercial officer for Ali Group and Welbilt on a global basis.
