John Guettler, a longtime service agent in Michigan and member of the Commercial Food Equipment Service Association, died on August 16, 2025. He was 96 years old.

John GuettlerGuettler is a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea. Before and after his time in the service, Guettler worked for Kirchman Brothers and Commercial Kitchen Service, installing and servicing commercial kitchen equipment, per an obituary announcing his passing. He eventually went on to own CKS and was a regular attendee at CFESA events for many years. He worked in the business every day until this past December, when Guettler was hospitalized with an illness, the obituary added.

Guettler is survived by Dolores, his wife of 72 years, as well as four children, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Bay City, Mich.
