Mokas Coffee & Eatery Updates Leadership

As part of a planned leadership transition, Mokas Coffee & Eatery named Jason Ingermanson, CEO and founder of JRI Hospitality, the chain’s president. JRI Hospitality is Moka’s parent company. Ingermanson replaces Scott Redler, who will become a member of Mokas’ board of directors.

Over the past 18 months, Redler worked with the Mokas team to build its internal systems, optimize operations, and lay the foundation for franchise growth, per a company release. During this time Mokas signed its first franchisee. The chain anticipates its first franchised location will open during the second quarter of 2026 in Olathe, Kan., the release added.

Established in 2005, Mokas Coffee & Eatery features a menu that offers in-house roasted coffee, smoothies, energy drinks, pastries, wraps, sandwiches, soups, and salads. The company has four corporate units.

Founded in 2011, JRI Hospitality owns and operates more than 90 restaurants in 15 states, including Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, Mokas Coffee & Eatery, Chompie’s Restaurants & Deli, Ingermanson Farms and The Salina Country Club.
