Fast-casual chain Noodles & Company promoted Joseph Christina to president and chief executive officer, effective August 31, 2025.
Christina joined Noodles & Co. earlier this year, serving as president and chief operating officer. Christina replaces Drew Madsen, who is stepping down as CEO for personal medical reasons, per a release announcing the leadership transition. Madsen will, however, continue to sit on Noodles & Company’s board of directors.
Christina began his career at Burger King, where he advanced over 29 years from restaurant manager to sr. vice president of U.S. franchise operations for the West Division. He later served as executive vice president of U.S. operations at Church’s Chicken before becoming its CEO and president. He most recently served as CEO of Tijuana Flats.
Madsen has been with Noodles & Co. since 2017 and has held multiple leadership roles.
