Jonathan Fitzpatrick will join Subway as the sandwich chain’s chief executive officer, effective July 28, 2025. Carrie Walsh has served as interim CEO since the retirement of John Chidsey at the end of 2024.

Fitzpatrick comes to Subway from Driven Brands, where he served as president and CEO for the company which operates in the automotive industry.

That said, Fitzpatrick is no stranger to the restaurant industry. His background spans more than two decades in the restaurant industry and includes leadership roles with Burger King, where Fitzpatrick served as executive vice president, chief brand and operations officer.
