Remembering Manufacturers’ Rep Ken Hamilton

Longtime manufacturers’ rep Ken Hamilton passed away on October 4, 2024. He was 76 years old.

2024 104 Ken Hamilton SquareHamilton joined Quebec-based Agences Hamilton Agencies in 1969. This was eight years after his uncle, Harold Hamilton started the company. Hamilton bought the company in 1972. In 1974 Hamilton married Irene and together they had three daughters Sandra, Cynthia and Lyanne, who all spent time working in the business, per a MAFSI email. Sandra eventually rejoined the company full-time in 2010 and took over the business in 2018.

Hamilton was a member of the Manufacturers’ Agents Association for the Foodservice Industry and served on its board of directors. During his tenure on the MAFSI board, Hamilton served on its Communication & Member Outreach committee.

Hamilton was preceded in death by his wife Irene. He’s survived by his daughters Sandra, Cynthia and Lyanne and two grandsons.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests considering making a donation to Le Weekend pour combattre le cancer or the Lymphoma Society of Canada.
