Mo’ Betthas Hawaiian Style Food tapped company veteran John Konyn to serve as chief operations officer for the 55-unit restaurant chain.
Konyn, who joined the company as an hourly employee when it had only two locations, most recently served as vice president of operations.
“John’s ability to adapt, learn, grow, and hone his leadership skills has seen him rise through our growth ladder from team member to now COO,” said Rob Ertmann, CEO of Mo’ Bettahs.
Founded by Hawaii-born brothers Kimo and Kalani Mack, Mo’ Bettahs has been serving a Hawaiian plate lunch since 2008. In 2017, the fast-casual brand was acquired by private equity firm Savory Fund, which holds investments in a variety of restaurant industry-related concepts.
