Ace Mart Acquires Curtis Restaurant Supply

Ace Mart Restaurant Supply has acquired Curtis Restaurant Supply, effective September 28, 2024. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 1946, Curtis is an Oklahoma-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealer whose client base includes national chain restaurants, hospitals, casinos, churches, schools, non-profit organizations, military and healthcare facilities, per a release announcing the deal.

Acquiring Curtis Restaurant Supply allows Ace Mart to expand our distribution capabilities while enhancing the services and solutions we provide to our customers,” said Jonathan Gustafson, president of San Antonio-based Ace Mart.

Ace Mart reported sales of $157.03 million in 2023, making it the 16th largest foodservice equipment and supplies dealer in the country, per FE&S 2024 Distribution Giants Study. Curtis Restaurant Supply reported annual revenues of $14.2 million in 2023, making it the 95th largest dealer in the country.

“The decision to sell was a hard one. I was looking for a family-owned and operated company with geographical proximity, good size, and experience in getting deals done,” said Jay Gulick, owner of Curtis Restaurant Supply in a statement. “Ace Mart checked all four of those boxes. I look forward to working with the Ace Mart team to integrate Curtis and be part of their growth plans.”

This represents Ace Mart’s third acquisition in the past two years. In March of 2023 Ace Mart acquired Wichita Restaurant Supply Co. And in June of 2023 Ace Mart Acquired Big Plate Restaurant Supply.
