FoodSpace Opens Test Kitchen in Idaho

Schumaker Consulting Group, which goes to market as FoodSpace, opened a 5,600-square-foot test kitchen and culinary design studio in Meridian, Idaho.

With the opening of this headquarters facility, FoodSpace is one of the only foodservice consulting firms with a test kitchen, which it describes as “a laboratory for the future of food.”

The company added, “this facility is designed to be an agnostic platform where chefs, manufacturers, and innovators can test and compare products under real-world conditions. The versatility of our kitchen allows for unbiased experimentation.”

The facility also houses private offices, coworking spaces, a dining room, and meeting rooms. In addition to serving as its own corporate headquarters, FoodSpace will use its new facility to host culinary retreats and make the space available for day-use rental.
