Fast-casual restaurant chain Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opened a 23,000-square-foot training and innovation center in Wichita, Kans.
The facility will teach franchisees and restaurant managers how to cook the chain’s steakburgers, create custard-based treats and more. Freddy’s has some lofty goals for this facility, including hosting 70 potential franchisee visits each year, four conferences for 130 multi-unit managers and an annual multi-week in-person training for 120 managers. In addition to hosting training events, Freddy’s will use the facility to host on-site product testing and customer focus groups, per a release.
The center features a back-of-the-house layout and equipment package similar to the ones in most Freddy’s locations. The fast-casual chain has 533 restaurants spread across 36 states.
