Shake Shack taps Former Inspire Brands for COO Role

Shake Shack hired Stephanie Sentell to serve as chief operations officer, effective July 1, 2024.

Sentell comes to Shake Shack from multiconcept operator Inspire Brands, where she spent the past 11 years. Most recently, Sentell served as senior vice president of company operations overseeing the operations of more than 1,100 company-owned Arby’s restaurants, per a release. Earlier in her career, Sentell spent more than 11 years at Dairy Queen as the director of marketing and a franchise owner.

In her new role, Sentell will oversee operations for all company-owned Shake Shack locations in the U.S. “She brings a wealth of operational experience and has consistently improved margins and enhanced operational efficiencies across brands, channels, and formats, including drive-thru, with a data-driven approach that will further improve and optimize the way we operate our Shacks,” said Shake Shack CEO Rob Lynch in a statement. Earlier this year, Lynch joined Shake Shack after previous stops at Papa Johns and Arby’s.
