Donatos Pizza is preparing for a leadership transition. In October Tom Krouse, Donato’s chief executive officer will retire, the company announced. At that time, Kevin King, who has served as president of Donatos Pizza for the past two years, will assume the role of CEO and president.
Krouse joined Donatos Pizza in 2000 after 18 years at Wendy’s. Before becoming president and CEO in 2010, Krouse oversaw Donatos Pizza’s franchise expansion and development of the brand’s retail division, Jane’s Dough Premium Foods.
No stranger to the pizza business, King joined Donato’s Pizza for a second tour in 2022, this time serving as the chain’s president. He had served as Donatos Pizza’s vice president of development from 1990 to 2003. King’s career also includes experience with Domino’s Pizza and Papa Murphy’s.
