Mike Burns now serves as chief executive officer for restaurant chain &pizza. Burns takes over from &pizza co-founder Michael Lastoria.

Burns most recently served as chief operating officer and executive vice president for RAVE Restaurant Group, working with the multiconcept operator’s Pie Five Pizza and Pizza Inn chains. His background also includes serving as vice president of operations for Pei Wei Asian Kitchen and with Bojangles, where he oversaw more than 175 corporate units.

Within 60 days of joining &pizza, Burns transformed many of the brand’s digital aspects, including overhauling “its tech stack and the launch of a redesigned website, mobile app, loyalty program and upgraded POS system for all locations,” per a company release.
