Middleby Corp. promoted two executives to leadership roles within its TurboChef and CookTek product lines. Katie Cox now serves as president and Leslie Banados as senior vice president of sales and marketing.
In her new role, Cox assumes responsibility for the strategic direction of TurboChef and CookTek and will oversee all brand operations including engineering, manufacturing, and accounting. Banados will lead all sales and marketing activities as well as the culinary support for these two Middleby brands.
Before being promoted to president of TurboChef and CookTek, Cox served as vice president of business development for Middleby. In this role she worked with several of Middleby’s international chain customers, per a company release. Prior to joining Middleby in 2021 she was with Appliance Innovation and Hatco, working with the Ovention line of accelerated cooking products. Earlier in her career she was an Equipment Engineer with Pizza Hut U.S.
Banados rejoined Middleby in 2022 as vice president of business development working with chain accounts for all Middleby brands. With more than 20 years in the foodservice industry, she joined TurboChef in 2004 and spent 12 years in marketing and sales positions. Her career also includes six years working for Alto Shaam as vice president of national accounts.
