Laurence Roberts is stepping down from his position as president and CEO of El Pollo Loco Holdings after more than 10 years with the company. Roberts will continue to provide consulting services to the company through December 28, 2023.

El Pollo Loco is working with an executive search firm to find its next CEO. In the interim, Maria Hollandsworth, El Pollo Loco’s chief operating officer, will assume the role of interim president and CEO.

Before joining El Pollo Loco in November 2022, Hollandsworth was the regional vice president of operations for Dunkin’. Her background also includes working with Jack in the Box.
