Jerry Greene of Hotel & Restaurant Supply, a Mississippi-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealer passed away on February 24. He was 80 years old.

In 2010, FE&S presented Jerry Greene with its Hall of Fame Award.After graduating from college in December 1965 and completing training to serve in the 186th Air National Guard, Greene began working with his father, P.B. Greene, for Hotel & Restaurant Supply in June of 1966 and would spend more than 55 years with the company. Under Greene’s leadership H&R expanded to seven locations spread across Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama. Greene’s son Mason now serves as president of H&R.

In 2010, FE&S presented Jerry Greene with its Hall of Fame Award.

Greene is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marilyn Edlund Greene; daughter, Merrick Greene Jackson; son, Mason Reynolds Greene; six grandchildren and his sister Joyce Greene Welsh.

Services will take place Saturday, March 4 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 10:30 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m.
