Vollrath’s Bartelt to Retire

After leading the Wisconsin-based manufacturer for more than 15 years, Vollrath’s Paul Bartelt has decided to retire from his post as president and CEO. Erik Lampe will join Vollrath in March first serving as company president before taking over as CEO in June.

Erik Lampe HeadshotErik LampeLampe has spent the majority of his career working for Oshkosh Corporation and McKinsey & Company, where he served in a variety of strategic leadership roles. For the last year, he worked as a principal for Comvest Partners’ Operating Advisory Group, where he served as a leader for the firm’s privately held companies.

Bartelt will remain on the Vollrath board of directors for the foreseeable future and will continue to support the company and the new CEO, per a company release. “There comes a time for all of us to move on, and I feel confident that this is the right moment for me to transition to the next phase of my life,” he added in a statement.

Steve Heun, vice president of finance and CFO, has also decided to step down. He, too, was with Vollrath for more than 15 years. Vollrath will promote Tina Kreidler, its current director of finance and controller, to vice president of finance and will work closely with Heun until his departure this fall.

This is Vollrath’s second major personnel announcement in as many months. In late January, Vollrath announced Dennis Park is retiring from his position as vice president of sales after more than 35 years with the company and in the foodservice industry. Replacing Park as Vollrath’s vice president of sales is Chris Kelm.
