Calvin Johnston was tapped to serve as vice president of business development for the Excell and Nissco buying groups.

Most recently, Johnston served as vice president of service operations for Horizon Bradco, a Smart Care Company, conducting sales and service in 17 states along the eastern seaboard, per a release announcing his hiring. Johnston’s foodservice industry background includes stints with ISI (a TriMark company) and various roles within Hobart.

Over the past six months, the Excell and Nissco buying groups have added a variety of executives. In August 2022, Mike Jewett was named CEO of Excell and Nissco. Then in September 2022 Excell and Nissco promoted Devyn Kelly to director of business development. And in October, Mariko Sakurai was hired to serve as director of business development.
