Remembering Christopher Heina of Cobblestone Ovens

Christopher Heina, president of Cobblestone Ovens, passed away on Oct. 2, 2022. He was 48 years old.

christopher heinaHeina was a longtime member of the Commercial Food Equipment Service Association, where he served in a variety of volunteer positions over the years. Heina was a member of the Bakers Courtesy Club of Chicago and was pursuing an EMBA from Loyola University of Chicago.

By all accounts, Heina was a passionate member of the foodservice industry. Over the years Heina shared his passion and expertise with the readers of FE&S. For example, in a parting shot article, Heina discussed the importance of being involved with foodservice industry-related associations. And in 2013, Heina was briefly profiled as a future foodservice industry leader.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Heina in 2020. He is survived by his father Ed Heina.

Services for Christopher Heina will take place at 11 a.m. on October 10 at Calvary Cemetery, 667 West Jackson Street, Woodstock, Ill., 60098.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Heina’s memory may be made to the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 5701 North Redwood Drive, Chicago, Ill., 60631.
