Empire Equipment Company has acquired Greater Texas Ice, a Houston-based wholesale distributor of commercial foodservice equipment and aftermarket parts.

As a result of this deal, Empire now has nine distribution locations throughout the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, South Central, Southwest, and West Coast.

“This transaction adds scale in the Texas and South Central regions and allows both Empire Group and Greater Texas Ice to better serve our partners in the regions,” said Jim Kirkland, CEO of Empire Group in a release announcing the deal.

Empire distributes a variety of foodservice equipment that spans several categories, including refrigeration, ice machines, cooking equipment, beverage equipment and more.
