Denny’s to Purchase 52-Unit Chain

Denny’s has agreed to acquire Keke's Breakfast Café for $82.5 million. The Florida-based chain, which opened its first unit in 2006, serves the breakfast and lunch dayparts.

Keke’s Breakfast Café has 44 franchised units and 8 corporate locations. The system has average unit volumes of $1.9 million, per a release.

Keke’s will operate as an independent business with its own leadership, products, etc.

Denny’s expects the deal to close during its second fiscal quarter of 2022.

The deal came on the heels of the chain announcing Kelli Valade will become Denny’s president and CEO effective June 13, 2022.
