Singer Equipment has acquired Kittredge Equipment Company, an Agawam, Mass.-based dealer that has been owned by the Webber family for more than 100 years. As a result of the deal, Kittredge is now part of a newly formed division within Singer and will go to market as Singer Kittredge.
Jeff Mackey, the current COO of Kittredge, was promoted to president of Singer Kittredge.
The deal combines 2 of the country’s top 50 dealers in terms of revenues. Reporting $365.27 million in revenues for 2020, Singer is the fourth largest foodservice equipment and supplies dealer in the country, per FE&S 2021 Distribution Giants study. FE&S will update the study in April 2022. Kittredge reported revenues of $52.21 million in 2020, making it the country’s 32nd largest dealer, per the study.
Headquartered in Elverson, Pa., Singer maintains offices from Vermont to Florida. This is the company’s second acquisition in less than a year. In April 2021, Singer acquired Thompson & Little, based in North Carolina.
